HHA March, 2007: "Life in Hudson in the 1940s" by Joan May Maher

March 8, 2007: Joan May Maher shares stories with Hudson Heritage Association of living in the village of Hudson with and then on a farm that became Hudson Springs Park. Teaching in the Hudson Schools for 25 years, she helped to start the REACH program whose 8th grade students recorded oral histories of longtime residents, available at the Hudson Library. She also edited the book, Diary of a Young Girl: Hudson, Ohio by Marie Foster Barnes. A favorite quote of Joan's is "Everyone has a story to tell, if only someone would listen".
